Design of an ultra-compact and high-contrast ratio all-optical NOR gate

In this research, an all-optical NOR gate is designed and simulated based on two-dimensional photonic crystals. A square lattice has been used to design structure. This logic two main inputs, a bias input, output. Because the output of must be “1” for zero input required. One characteristics structure its small size use in optical integrated circuits. Also, order reduce detection error output, it tried that outputs have suitable difference “0” logical states. The number simple point defects makes easier. simulation results show proposed working at wavelength 1.55 µm. amount power high mode low mode. gate, normalized reduced 0.05 by changing defect rods.
